Budapest - Panoramic Images

Skyline of Budapest from Castle Mount Funicular

The tour of Budapest has now been added to the collection on Panoramic Earth. Once again this interactive map is linked to over 100 panoramic images of the sights and attractions around Budapest. A full list of the locations presented here is given on our Budapest Index.

Budapest is the capital of Hungary, split in two by the Danube. If you are thinking of traveling to Budapest and want to know what to see, or if you have just come back and would like a reminder, this tour is ideal. Take a stroll around the Castle Mount where you will find Buda Royal Palace, Mathias Church (famous for the mosaic interior) and the romantic Fishermans Bastion. Then travel along the Danube to the Citadel, St. Gillerts Fountain and some of the most famous Spas of the city.

Cross over the Chain Bridge to the side of Pest, where you will find a large number of museums, the famous Hero’s Square (which really is impressive) and the parks and baths around Vajdahunyad Castle.

We have also managed again to take images from inside some of the churches and buildings, those of Szt. Istavan (St. Stephen) Basilica and the Magyar Orthodox Templaom on the banks of the Danube are well worth a visit. Finally, take a break strolling through Margrit Island and join the locals in the huge water park or visit the Franciscan Church and Japanese Gardens found here.

We ran around Budapest with very little time to spare to bring you these photos, so I hope you enjoy them and find them helpful
